Today we're cleaning out the medicine cabinet!! Giving it a total makeover, because as usual it was a hot mess hahah So of course I took to the dollar tree to get myself some nifty little organizing bins to help me get everything just the way I wanted it! Don't feel bad about expired medicine, my mother in law had some Tylenol cold and flu medicine from 2006! I'm glad I checked the date before I took it. According to some doctors the expiration date is just to cover the FDA's rump and the meds are still good, just not as effective after the date. But I'm not sure about 11 years later 😂

I found the cutest first aid kit bag at target a few weeks ago. I have so many ointments, bandaids, meds, etc for myself and my son. I got way too excited making a first aid kit for us but it's been a HUGE help. Now if he's got a pain or a bug bite he knows exactly where the kit is and can get it out. I didn't put any real medications like cold meds or anything that could harm him since it's not kept up out of reach, but I put all our cut ointments, itch/bug bite relief, bandaids, thermometer, ear cleaner gadget, Vicks rub, nose spray, ace bandage, a mini sunscreen and mini bug spray in case we can't find our regular ones or run out. I even labeled it all and then I did sneak a dose of children's Tylenol and adult Tylenol in the way back underneath everything. I figure if someone legit gets hurt I should keep a backup of pain relief there. I still have a medicine cabinet full of junk I can probably go through, but it's nice having the summer supplies on hand now.
