First question doesn't have to be so hard, because the value of the perimeter is already given in the question. Instead do this:
Perimeter = 180 cm
a = 180/3 = 60 cm
s = P/2 = 180/2 = 90 cm
using heron's formula,
√90(90-60)(90-60)(90-60)
=√90*30*30*30
simplifying that we get
=√3*3*2*5*3*2*5*3*2*5*3*2*5
=3*2*5*3*2*5√3
=900√3cm^2

the perimeter is 32 cm

ANSWER:√16 8 5 3 cm =√8 30 cm

EX 2:A triangular park ABC has sides 120m, 80m and 50m (see Fig. 12.7). A
gardener Dhania has to put a fence ....one side.
ANS:375√15 m² and the cost is 4940 rupees!

EX 3 : The sides of a triangular plot are in the ratio of 3 : 5 : 7 and its perimeter
is 300 m. Find its area.

ANS : 1500 √3 m²
