Making Simple Wooden Toy Cars

Just a short video on making a couple of simple wooden toy cars, I made these for friends who had babies last year.

I used google images to search for car silhouettes and printed them out. The main part of the cars are made out of Ash and I used Walnut for the wheels with a store bought hardwood dowel to join them. I really like using a hole saw to make the wheels as its really quick, accurate and is more accessible for people without a lathe.

Sorry I haven't been uploading as many videos lately, I've been quite sick for most of this year and I started working on a building four electric guitars before I got sick and I'm struggling to finish them while still recovering. This is a super short video of a simple project I made for my instagram a while back but I saw it today when I was looking though old files and thought I'd upload it here as I thought it was pretty good and some people might find it useful. Hopefully I'll finish the guitars early next year and should have a full video of them up then, but for now you can keep up to date with what I'm doing on my instagram @ davidbrynparker

Hey the cars look great!!! Did you print your own car template? Or download from website? Where did you get car templates? Did you use clear lacquer on body and wheels at the end??
