From Moscow and St. Petersburg to Small Austrian Boarding School

Following in her brother Ivan's footsteps, Nikol I. came to AIS-Salzburg in the fall of 2019 as an 8th-grade student. Living far away from her home and family in Moscow, Russia, and with very little English, Nikol had trouble adjusting at first. Fast forward to 2024, Nikol is in her senior year and has a heavy academic workload including Advanced Placement® Environmental Science, Advanced Placement® Psychology, German Literature, and English 12 Literature & Composition, all while achieving senior scholar status with all A's and B's. 

Katja L. joined AIS-Salzburg in the fall of 2020 as a grade 10 student after starting her high school career at a public school in her hometown of St. Petersburg, Russia. Katja came to the school excited about her new experience and has maintained a GPA of 3.85 or higher since her arrival, despite the drastic change in her life.
