Gregory Isaacs - Cool Down The Pace Reaction

Watched again, thoroughly enjoyed it as much as the first time. Decided to share some of my experiences with Gregory Isaacs aka the Cool Ruler. Was lucky enough to see him in concert a few times. My fave was at Toads Place in New Haven. It is a smaller venue and many of the fans were diehard Cool Ruler fans. It was LIT...we were singing along to all the songs and Gregory was feeding off the crowd. He was born for this.

The cool ruler recorded his first track in the late 60s and dropped an album the year he passed in the 2010. That is, he touched the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90, 00s, 10s an amazing feat for any artist. He leaves a legacy and collection that is wide and vast covering Lovers Rock (his specialty), Roots, Dancehall, and others. If Bob Marley was Reggaes Rock Star, then the Cool Ruler is the smooth, cool Jazz star.

Watching your reaction is sooo rewarding. As someone who is a raving Gregory fan it is truly wonderful to rediscover him again through your experience. This is one of my fave songs of his. Thank you for a warm and pleasant video.

Gregory Isaacs, The Coolruler, is the one artist i always go back and listen to. I've lucky to see him live 5-6 times. He made hundreds af albums(!). Sadly with big time crack cocaine abuse from early 80's. There is so many songs by this man, if i should pick one i would say "Poor and clean". A reaction on that one would be lovely

Gregory Isaacs is truly one of the greats. His song Night Nurse is a classic off course but i like his older stuff even more. Poor And Clean, Word Of The Farmer and Border are my personal favorites by him and really worthy to check out if you dig his voice

Thank you for the Caribbean music/reggae music reaction. This is considered a lovers reggea rock and Gregory is top tier in this genre.

There variety amount of reggae. My personal one’s are conscious reggae music and COLOMBUS from Burning Spears is a really good one. I hope you guys enjoy and react to more reggae music. One love from 🇧🇿

I had a look through mi files trying to think of other Gregory Isaacs' songs you might like. There are just so many but here's a couple... "Loving Pauper" (A cover), "Chunnie You Are The Number One" and "The Border". You will possibly know "Night Nurse" which was covered by Simple Minds.

This is getting close to the last of what he did before his voice started changing and he became really nasal and it just didn't work.
He recorded aw through the 70s and has done so many brilliant tracks it would be difficult to list them aw off the top o my head.
