After seeing the anime, her bankai is one of the most beautiful in the show. It looks ever better in the anime.

Since many are debating about it, here you go. I hope it helps!

Toshiro's bankai and zanpakuto ability (ice type zanpakuto) is the CONTROL OF ICE/freezing of water or moisture, turning them into ice and then controlling the ice for combat as weapon and for defense. Basically he cools the water and freezes it to 0 degrees celcius, thus it can also freeze other things at this temperature too (including all things which has water).

Note: Water's freezing point is 0 degrees celcius.

Rukia's bankai (ice-snow type zanpakuto) is THE CONTROL of temperature to absolute zero. That is 0 kelvin or -273.15 degrees celcius. This can freeze EVERYTHING, which means all molecules in the universe will stop moving at this temperature. This is also the reason why she literally cannot move unless she used her reiatsu to move her literally dead body. At this early stage of her bankai since she just recently learned how to use it, she can only move for 4 seconds while in absolute zero. But before absolute zero, (-273 degrees celcius and above like 0 degrees celcius) she can still move and freeze things. Also note that this is her early bankai stage, she just learned it and she can improve her combat ability and movement during absolute zero, she can also prolong the time she can move at this stage by more practice and time. Her bankai is absolutely terrifying and powerful if matured just like toshiro's and commander yama's. Also her bankai is extremely beautiful 😍

And for more references on what rukia's bankai can do, you can check sode no shirayuki's abilities in her manifestation in the zanpakuto rebellion arc. Her combat ability is good while also freezing everything around her. During rukia's fight with Kaien, she also froze the spear she was stabbed with so it broke. She was also covered in ice after the battle which basically stopped her wounds from bleeding and kept her alive.



In conclusion, their bankais are very different to each other, aside from being cold, all other aspects are different.


PS: What was shown in the early part of the vid where she referred to it as THE true power of Sode no shirayuki, was just her shikai, she basically was just stabbing As nodt and freezing him at low temperature (showing the true power of her zanpakuto-freezing at contact) Then later on, she used her bankai which produced the Punishment Haze at the end of the video which is the absolute zero freeze.
