Kosmographia Ep036 The Randall Carlson Podcast with the Snake Brothers – Kyle and Russ, Normal Guy Mike and GeocosmicREX admin Bradley, from 06/22/20. (Last moment decision to make this episode an extended version of a brief program RC is presenting on Asteroid Day - June 30th) Looking back to the origin of the Taurid meteor stream and its fragmenting/disintegrations possibly timing with the climatic changes over the last 25k years, with one of its members having been the "Tunguska" object that exploded over Siberia in 1908, RC reviews the comparable explosive powers in nuclear testing and impact cratering events. The Shoemaker-Levy 9 Jovian impacts and the Tunguska airburst were supreme teaching events which Randall weaves into many learning moments for us! With a string of exclaiming headlines, he stresses the critical point that we must act on the fact that we live on a vulnerable planet...

Support Randall Carlson's efforts to discover and share pivotal paradigm-shifting information! Improve the quality of the podcast and future videos. Allow him more time for his research into the many scientific journals, books, and his expeditions into the field, as he continues to decipher the clues that explain the mysteries of our past, and prepare us for the future...

"He's a fan of ours, believe it or not...". Randall Carlson is an extraordinary and humble man, owner of a sharp and outstanding mind. Don't doubt the importance of your work, sir. Even Einstein, if alive, would be a fan of yours.

Very informative content and very smooth production. It is nice to see that Brad's green screen does not cut off portions of his head (or perhaps he is really in the mountains).

Randall, you certainly are one incredibly amazing man!!
I'm a retired Army tank commander, so pent years in Germany patrolling the West German/ Czechoslovakian border during the Cold War from '81-'90. To qualify for a position as a Border Trace leader, we had in depth briefings before every patrol. You discussing how the Super Powers at that time had all those nukes brought me right back to my Army days. Nothing more relaxing than a good old fashioned safety meeting!
Please keep pumping out these podcasts, I love the fountain of information you share! Thank you!

Quick math lesson. Impactor at Meteor Crater in Arizona is estimated to be 160 feet in diameter. Remnants of the impactor indicates that it was a hunk of iron and nickel, a common type of meteorite. To calculate the volume, we multiply the cube of the diameter with pi/6 or about 11/21 based on pi being 22/7. I call using this estimate of pi doing it the easy way as precision is impossible anyway. The density of iron and steel alloys as used by engineers is 0.283 lbm per cubic inch or 489 lbm per cubic foot. Mass of the Arizona impactor is 11/21 X 160 X 160 X 160 X 489 = 1 billion lbm. So a billion pounds of iron slammed into Arizona a mere 50, 000 years ago. The minimum speed has to be greater than the escape velocity from Earth, which is 36, 000 feet per second. Some analyses estimate the impact speed at between 42, 000 feet per second and 66, 000 feet per second. Take the smaller number to calculate impact energy. Formula is m X v X v/2. 1, 000, 000, 000 X 42, 000 X 42, 000/2 =8.82 X 10(17) foot poundals. Divide by 32 we get foot lbf, divide that by 778 we get BTUs, divide that by 4, get kilogram calories (the calories you diet by) divide by 1, 000, 000 get tons of TNT (arbitrarily defined as 1 billion gram calories) and divide that again by 1, 000, 000 and get megatons for comparison with nuclear explosions. So 8.82 x 10(17)/(32)( 778)(4)(10(12)) = 8.86 megatons. Take the higher speed and get: 1, 000, 000, 000 X 66, 000 X 66, 000/2 = 2.178 X 10(18) foot poundals. For the kinetic energy of impact: 2.178 X 10(18)/(32)(778)(4)(10(12) = 21.9 megatons. Lots of bounces to those ounces!

Randall is really captivating to listen to, even when it's a terrifying subject like this.

I look forward to an episode regarding Ancient Aliens. Unless of course I just haven't found that episode yet. Really enjoying these discussions. Like you say, take away all the pre conceived ideas, strip it all back and is there something to the story, that so many cultures talk about, about the teachers coming from the sky. There are too many oddities, when you start looking just to dismiss it completely out of hand. This subject matter is fascinating, and the more you look into it, the more I can see that myths and stories in the past in cultures and religions might be referencing the Younger Dryas event. Randall you are an inspiration.

I totally agree that the hard core evidence is being ignored. And the amount of close calls should be Humanity’s wake up call to unite to prevent a major impact.
