1st time user installing Airstone around a fireplace that we purchased from Lowes

We used this stone I just didn't like the patchy color look. So I did a German schmear on it. Loved it after that. We had a corner fireplace. We have since sold that home and will be doing it again soon in our next home it never ends.

It really looks nice, great job, but it looks like more than two colors, I just. Picked up 5 boxes I have 4 colors, it was damaged boxes so I got a huge discount.im doing a wall behind my wood stove and then a walk in shower and some in my kitchen .thanks for the info

Looks nice but why would you lay the stone on your deck to cut it? or am I missing something?

Very good video, thank you. We are going to install this around our fireplace. Removed the ceramic tile and most of the drywall came off also so we stripped it bare. The product seems to be light weight so based on the fact we only have 12" wide x 46" High on each side of the fireplace box and then 48" wide x 12 High over the fireplace box I decided to go with 1/4" Durock cement board as the backer. Do you think this is heavy enough to hold the weight? They say it is a light weight. Thanks
