18:11 No she can't place that tile in those places because it doesn't with any of the other squares But she can place it adjacent to the starting tile so, since she has a legal place to put the tile she can't Discard it, you only discard if there's no legal way to place the tile

Seems like you would want to put the tiles in a bag so that you don't see the numbers until they come out. I can see a point where you memorize what the numbers are, letting you pre-plan a bit just by looking at them. Putting them in a bag would prevent you from seeing the number until they were placed for use.

18:36 - you can’t just discard a tile like that. If you can lay it (which you could have), you should have done.

Jen would have to build the double sheep tile. you may not discard any pile unless there is no legal move possible. It was possible to lay it next to the castle. Greetings from Italy. Love your work!!!

Plus, if Jen is chosen randomly to be the starting player, you in exchange can choose to put your two kings where you want. Jen has to live with the fact that there will be just one more tile for her available. ;-)

Tip for a more challenging game: instead of opening another row, open 2! This way the opponents will think strategically.

You would actually score 15 more points if you had played with the variants. Perfect 5x5 grid + castle in the center = 15 pts.

In my rule book it says use all tiles for a 2 and 4 player game, not half?
