How to Spend 2 Days in Montreal No Matter the Weather: A Montreal Itinerary

The last time I visited Montreal was a whopping 10 years ago. Sheesh, that’s bad. (and worst when said out loud). I don’t subscribe to the whole Toronto Maple Leafs vs Montreal Canadians hockey rivalry. I can not deny that old town Montreal has tons of history, is a foodie lovers' paradise (this, according to the awesome late Anthony Bourdain) and a haven for jazz music.

After writing some other local (as in Canada) Short Trip Itineraries for St. John’s out East in Newfoundland, Ottawa, and, of course, Toronto (my city) here in Ontario, I couldn’t wait to return to La Belle Province (Quebec) and revisit Montreal.

Montreal has its own unique charm and this comes across nicely in the video. Loved the magnificence of St. Joseph's Oratory.

Great overview of Montreal! I LOVE Old Montreal, it always makes me feel like I'm in Europe. And you can't go wrong with poutine from La Banquise :D

Great video! It looks like a fabulous walk. The Montreal old town looks inviting too. It is the first time I heard about Poutine. I had to google how to spell it. I will keep that in mind if ever I visit Montreal.

I can't wait till it warms up because unlike you I am not trying to brave that cold lol. Love the drone shots. Did know St. Joesphs was Canada's largest church. Good to know for when I go. I can't wait to visit. Been meaning to for a couple of years now.

This was such a cool video! I don't know why but American travel shows don't really showcase Montreal or Quebec, but I've always been curious about both. Very informative and well done. I can't believe that line for Potine though! It looks so good but soooo fatty at the same time lol

Great video, we've never tried the Canadian Poutine. Although in Wales and certain parts of the UK you can get 'Chips and Gravy' (British chips and proper brown gravy), wonder how it compares?

Man this blew my mind, that Montreal is just shorthand for Royal Mountain! Can't believe I've never figured that out before 😂 And yes, red velvet is always the best cupcake flavour! Will be tuning in next week since we're off to Sicily and then Malta for the rest of Feb!
