The all-new Nike SB BRSB is the latest rendition of the classic Nike Cortez from 1972, But this time the silhouette is designed specifically for skateboarding. We summoned our good friend and Tactics team rider Dakota Mead to the Nike park to test the BRSB, and let us know what he thought.

Many, many years ago my friends skated, so did i just on a snake board i just preferred it. I have just ordered some suade/gum blazers i really like these too. Shame they won't see a board I'm too old. Plus disabled now, most likely the real reason tbh.

There was a very short lived trend in 2005 and 2006 where skate shoes took inspriation from Cortez that used the same mid sole and trend. I had a CX model from Circa that used a mid sole similar to the Cortez and it was the worst shoe I have ever skated in by far. No board feel and no impact protection. Got to hand it to Nike for actually making the model skateable, for their faults.

I have some bruins, they arent that bad but they just have such a narrow look, i prefer the bulkier look

The fact that they make shoe strings now that last 10x longer, there should be no excuse for ripped shoe strings..they should come with all skate shoes..you could charge an extra 3-5 bucks extra, and very little would complain

idk why but nike just keeps making shoes uglier and uglier bro just give us the regular bruins again or janoskis or even fucking the OG blazer CS and dont even get me started on the fucking grip of the shoes the bruin reacts the ishods and all those weird sole and treads SUCK just bring back the OG's since we skaters cant even get dunks anymore
