Alert level raised for New Zealand's Taupo Volcano

Scientists in New Zealand have raised the alert level for one of the world's most active volcanoes, Taupo Volcano.

The lake itself is actually the crater left after the last big one! Interesting to see the most seismic activity is around the Horomatangi reef! Which we were taught was the epicentre of the big one!!

Don't forget Maunga (mount) Tarawera that blew around about 1880's or so, blew the cone off her! Now its a flat top! Also blew up the pink and white terraces and buried the village!
