To all the offended christians . What OSHO means is that, what you carry on your shoulders is upto you. If you consider your responsibilities as a punishment it will be heavy and make yur life miserable. Instead take it in your stride and be happy and life becomes wondeful

It has a symbolic meaning. Taking cross means to accept the difficulties and burden of life rathar than enjoying it . Jesus could have accepted the easy life but he helped the poor healed the sick blind people. Went against the society and priest class who were doing injustice.

To carry your cross, means to fully put your trust in God amid the storms and battles in your life. It means that although you may be in an extremely difficult or painful situation, you always trust that God is with you in the midst of your suffering. As Christians, we try to live our life according to the will of God.

No He was not mad, He came full of grace & truth, we pick up our cross & deny ourselves, we dont live for just ourselves but demonstrate love w/ our faith as He showed in the ultimate way, as no greater love knows man than to lay down his life for his friends, hence we sign & wear crosses around our necks.
