Hi i have a question
do american pistachio growers use manure as the main fertilizer or they just use chemical fertilizers or micronutrients ? the reason i'm asking this, is we here in Iran use manure as the main or even only fertilizer because most of the farmers here believe that chemical fertilizers or micronutrients damage the soil and you are not supposed to use them a lot, but a tiny percentage of your pistachio fertilizing scheme.

Is there any way to find out the tree sex? I am trying to germinate 2 trees. Do you know if the male grows up faster than the female trees? Or another way to identify the sex instead wait 10 years to find it out?

The taste of Iranian pistachios is really different from American and Spanish pistachios. American pistachios taste like hay and are not tasty at all.
