Top 250 Films of the Last 50 Years (#25 - #1)

Here are my personal selections for The 250 Greatest Movies of the Past 50 Years.* This painstaking process was well worth it. I have analyzed,, watched, and re-watched the best of the best of every cinematic masterpiece (as well as many I would consider trash) that was released between January 1st, 1970 until today. Actually, that would make 51 years, however since the arts were not really a priority in 2020, I just completed my analysis for the films released at the end of 2019.

My selections are based mostly on my own personal evaluation of its direction, acting, screenplay, cinematography, editing, and so on. Its significance in cinematic history and critical acclaim did play a role in my ranking, however I was not in any way swayed by the film's commercial/box office success.

* This list does not include any foreign language films or documentaries. Those cinematic achievements will be recognized on future movie lists.
