Chuck Berry is one of the top 5 most important figures in rock history.
His influence is heavily seen in The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Beach Boys and countless others.
"Maybelline", " Roll Over Beethoven", "Rock And Roll Music, "Johnny B. Goode", among many more of his classics are among the greatest Rock recordings ever.
If they had a " Mount Rushmore" of Rock & Roll, he would be on it.

The look of confusion on Brad's face at first was hysterical. Rock on guys🎵❤️🎶🎼

My sister absolutely loved this song. Of course, like Lex, she didn't understand the innuendo. She was, however, only just turned seven at the time!

There is a part you missed of Chuck Berry coaching the audience to sing along with him. That part makes the "double entendre" easier to grasp.

In 1977, a recording of Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode" was included on a golden disc sent to space with the Voyager mission. The mission continues today.

Hey Lex, it's basically a double entendre

Ding-A-Ling is also an old school reference to male genitalia

I love this novelty song by Chuck Berry! He was one of the legends of Rock and Roll! It’s just a silly, fun double entendre song! No deep, complicated meaning! Check out other hits like
Maybelline, Sweet Little Sixteen, and Johnny B. Goode! He influenced many acts that followed him, including, The Rolling Stones! ❤️❤️

The most important part was cut off of the beginning. He explains what his ding a ling is and teaches the audience about what part they are supposed to sing. That part where he is talking to the crowd is so funny

Metaphor! He’s playing with his own ding-a-ling! Association 😂

This was huge when I was at school. There's an extended version of this where Chuck gets the crowd going first. 🤣🤣

Angus Young, lead guitarist from AC/DC, copied Chuck Berry's duck walk.

Before the song started Chuck asked the audience to sing their parts.

Lmfao I love that Lex can draw all kinds of connections and make abstract metaphors effortlessly make sense in her head, but is completely stumped by this extremely obvious double entendre. Never change, Lex

Chuck Berry was a founding father of Rock-N-Roll. He wrote some great early rock songs. Every rock star was influenced by Chuck. The Beatles idolize him, along with Little Richard, and others. Chuck Berry was great.

Brad & Lex, you'll love his "Maybellene" and "Roll Over Beethoven" !!!
You must see him doing the duck walk while playing the guitar!! One of the fathers of Rock n Roll!!

OMG, this song doesn't nearly get the attention it deserves, a Chuck Berry classic, and thanks for watching the actual video, as this tune for sure needs the visual aids. LOL

I remember this song playing on the radio in the early 1970s when I was just a little kid. Nobody batted an eye. By the way, Chuck Berry.. the true king of rock and roll.

Singing this in elementary school was a right of passage in the 70's and 80's.

He was a great entertainer, but more than that: He practically invented Rock & Roll, and passed it on to the British. True legend

Brad is right, lol. It's play with words. Double meaning.
Use your imagination, Lex!
Chuck is a legend. One of the Grandfathers of Rock n Roll. Blues, rock, rockabilly, some very early punk. lol. Many good songs from him and very animated, good looks. Crazy that this song was his biggest hit, as he's had many great hits, too.
He was from Missouri. His son is also a guitarist, singer. Check him out, too.
