EndoMarch Documentary

Показать описание
This observational documentary film focusses predominantly on the annual march and peaceful protest raising awareness for the illness endometriosis.
The ‘Endomarch’ takes place worldwide in over 60 countries and has done for the past six years. However our documentary focuses specifically on the march that took place in Cardiff, Wales.
The march took place on Saturday the 30th March 2019 from 1 pm until 5 pm. This documentary followed those involved as they march through the streets of Cardiff.
We however did not just focus on the march event itself, but also the conversations and interactions between the captain and the vice-captain who organise the Endomarch Wales as both these women live with the condition endometriosis and we wanted to explore a more in depth and personal view point on the topic.
We were also lucky enough to be able to observe and film the meeting organising the march to show just how much work and preperation must go into an event like this but how it certainly paid off.
As someone who lives with the illness, I wanted to emphasise just how important it is to raise awareness of Endo and inform and educate others on it due to it not being spoken about as much as it should be.
I hope this documentary gives some insight into living with the condition and encourages people to talk about it and educate themselves on it. If you know 10 women, then you know someone with Endometriosis.
