Wow! Dashaun is absolutely phenomenal. He is sharp and always stays on the beat. He is athletic and acrobatic, and most critically, he transitions between moves with absolute elegance.

I am completely straight and literally know the bare minimum about the community but what I do know that these people look so free and comfortable with who they are. I can sense how strong the commitment is whenever I watch videos like this and RDR. Bring me so much joy I just love it

I love Star DOWN, but I see why Dashaun won. His vogue had a slight edge.

No deserved! Even Honey was on the side rooting for Star and knew she dropped the ball. Love her down, but Star was out of gas on this battle.

I mean if you break it down Deshaun did more vogueing than Star did. She was partially watching him seeing what he was doing.

Sorry y’all saying Starr was robbed like Dashaun didn’t just vogue!! This could’ve went either way! Saying “this was Starrs night” and “she battled all those legends would’ve been showing favoritism towards her during this specific battle! Very entertaining battle! Both did great!

The difference between Legend and ICON and why the win was well deserved by Daeshaun was exemplified in the aftermath. Starr's performance was absolutely amazing throughout this entire function. Daeshaun gave his ICONIC performance. There is a reason it is ICONIC. So the question then is--regardless of whether you who apparently are tired of seeing Daeshaun's vogue and can see it "any day" as I have read in some of the comments below, is what did the judges see in Daeshauns performance over Starr's. If vogueing is expression what did these two performers say and was there clarity in the flow? SO, we have the classic, ICONIC dramatic purist style vogue performance of Daeshaun vs Starr's newer, entertaining, what some may call "antic filled" but maybe not the voguing of a purist in the eyes of certain era's style of vogue. When you have two great performances to judge, often it becomes simply a matter of preference in style. If you vogue yourself, perhaps you might take Into account the following: difficulty of the moves, whether there is clarity of expression from beginning to end, the entertainment value--whether it was enjoyable to watch, personally I look for professionalism in the before during and after of Icons and Legends which might affect my impression the next time I see them on the floor. Daeshaun did this with clinical efficiency and kept up the energy from beginning to end. It was obvious he was in command of the flow, remained unbothered and demonstrated why he is an ICON at the end when he demanded a hug from Starr. Being a Legend or Icon isn't just about how well you perform, it is about bringing the legendary or iconic elements of self to your performance and having that shine through! 1Daeshaun
