Alright, here's a quick summary of how to do the same in 2023 as some buttons in Win10 were removed:

1. Right-click on the sound symbol in the taskbar and select "Sounds" (same as in video)
Repeat the same step once again but with "Open Volume Mixer" as this one will come handy later. Follow the steps in the video up to the "Playback" tab.

2. So that's where things get a bit different than in the video.
You can try using a monitor if you have but for me it didn't work so I did the following:

Scroll down and look for a device called "Speakers" with description "Steam Streaming Speakers".
(Not sure about origin or if Steam must have been installed in the past - if missing install Steam, open, close and uninstall Steam again if desired)

Make sure device is enabled (and has soundbar as in video). If not right-mouse click on it and select "Enable".

3. I myself used a website in a web browser for music (works with all browsers).
Make sure you're using a web browser (if not using an app) that you'll *never* use for audio purposes other than our goal or you'll have to switch settings everytime you want to *HEAR* audio.

4. Now another different step.
As the button "App volume and device preferences" in the Volume Mixer has been removed you have to do the following:

Open the Windows Settings with either "Win-key + i" or via the Start Menu etc..
Then go to "System > Sound" and scroll down 'til you find a bold header called "Advanced sound options". Below is the button we want. Once clicked you'll see all devices that recently transmitted sound.

5. Now open the app/browser you want to use and make it play a sound. Once happend in the Settings window the app/browser appeared.
Select the *upper* drop-down menu and choose "Speakers (Steam Streaming Speakers).

6. Once done go to OBS "Settings > Audio > Desktop Audio 2" and select that Steam device too.
Now follow the video.

One tip: In the Windows Volume Mixer select the drop-down arrow at the very left Device and select the Steam device again. This displays audio of your silenced app/browser when it plays due to the main output won't show that volume.

Hope that helped. :)

OMEGA POG TIP MY DUDE!!! This not only works for gaming and music separation, but it can help you figure out the difference between audio input and output when balancing audio levels in OBS! Simply separate your audio tracks with multiple "Application Audio Output Captures", then set the track that's linked to your Spotify to "Monitor and Output" in the advanced audio properties. You'll hear your music as your viewers will! And you can do the same thing to your mic for the most accurate balancing test.
