It's worth noting when Deadpool invited spideys villans because he didn't know who else to invite for Spidermans birthday, rhino was the only one to actually bring a gift.

The Rhino's true power was shown in the Brand New Day storyline. There was a second Rhino who demanded to defeat Aleksi in single combat. Aleksi had retired and gotten married, so he had no problem handing the title over to Rhino 2. Rhino 2, however, believed the only way he could GENUINELY be the Rhino was to kill the original in combat, and proceeded to kill Aleksi's wife. Aleksi, blind with rage, put on the Rhino costume, and hit Rhino 2 so hard, WITH Spidey desperately trying to stop him with webbing, that Rhino 2's body was crippled. He begged for his life before Rhino 1 killed him. And for comparison, Rhino 2 was able to bench press two semi trucks, so he was no slouch in the power department.

Theres a comic where he did become clever and pretty much became kingpin, but found it empty and ended up making himself dumb again

Spiderman has started that rhino is the only villain of his who scares him, imagine being able to say you scare literal Spiderman

Rhino & the Thing need a MAJOR power boost by now. It's sad fr, they're both underrated.

There is a storyline about the Rhino (in Spider-Man) where he tries to not be the rhino anymore, but a new Rhino shows up and trashes where he works. At the time he is married and not a villain, living with his wife. He even files a police report for the incident.

also the fact that this is the design that they’ve decided to go with for so long is just amazing cause it does not look good…

Rhino tried to go clean and live a normal life and even got a wife but his past caught up to him and he lost everything. At that moment he didn't feel anger at the world or anyone, only himself as he believes this is karma for the bad things he has done and that he can only escape this life through death

I remember a comic where Spider-Man and Rhino saved a baby rhinoceros from poachers. That was a good read

I personally think he's already great as is and that if a clever writer can make use of just him being well him we can get one more character that can be both fun and actually entertaining
