Roasting the Worst Ever After High Dolls

I rant about what I personally believe to be the ugliest Ever After High designs, sorry Mattel

We can still all agree the weirdest EAH decision was to give Courtly Jester doll long hair while she looked so badass with her shirt and original hair

All of the birthday ball dolls have diferentt hair colors than their original ones but i agree that the blonde part of Blondie is very important

You choose the exacts dolls where I think fashion choises were weirds (Dexter Date Night, Raven PicNic, Blondie Birthday Ball) and explain the reason why! XD
For this Meesheel Mermaid doll, the theorie is that it was originally the outfit for Bunny Blanc, daughter of the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, but Mattel changed its mind and put Meesheel at her place, remplacing the watches symbols by seashells on the skirt.

Is it me, or does Date Night Dexter Charming looks like he just woke up from bed and he’s late to the date? Now I can imagine Raven questioning his outfit (“Dexter, did you just woke up from bed?”).

I currently still have the Farrah doll (got it since I wanted Ashlynn to have a friend lol) and I have to say, the dress looks like a maternity dress. I think they were trying to do an empire waist type of dress but just failed. The front of the dress kind of juts out, making it look even more like a maternity dress

Also, the eyes were very much soulless. It felt so weird playing with Farrah

I have never seen some of these dolls. They probably did not reach European shores! Yes, they are not the best lol. I never liked the Good Fairy but I do like Ginger Breadhouse. She is very cute. Pictures don't do her justice. The only strange thing is the yellow thing hanging from her jacket. Totally unecessary.
There are amazing EAH dolls, so they make it up for the crappy ones.
Taking about soulless dolls, RH are the dolls I find the most soulless and expressionless. It requires a lot of skills with light to make them look expressive in photographs. Oh dear, I'm gonna get killed! ;-)

A couple of things. Dexters hair looks a lot better in the actual doll and the crown and blazer were where they tried to tie in the prince part, he always wore a crown and some sort of suit jacket. The Blondie is part of the birthday ball line where all the characters had different fun hair colors. The Michelle doll was from a sort of class themed line, so the clothes were preppy. Great video!

doll 1 : agreed. this is a nauseating palette.
doll 2 : agreed, BUT still an interesting facemold for a repaint.
doll 3 : agreed. BUT relatable. some guys won't make any effort for a date.
doll 4 : agreed. this is pedestrian.
doll 5 : agreed. this is really dumb^^
doll 6 : agreed. this is random (though the shape of skirt kinda reminds me of a fish tail, but it's not nicely done)

I can almost see the awful skirt on the mermaid as a fish tail somehow that just makes it worse....?! Ah well. Another funny romp thru dollyville! Thanks for channeling your rage for our entertainment. : )

I think one of the reasons Farrah’s doll doesn’t look that good is because of Mattel cheapening out near the end of the line in the cartoon she had light blue and lavender hair and the silver part of her dress had light purple and pink at the bottom and her wings were transparent but Mattel didn’t add the details on her dress and made her hair darker so it matches the dress a bit too much and they made her wings out of solid silver plastic like they were made from metal her design wasn’t perfect in the cartoon but it looked better than the doll

I have quite a few Ever After High dolls and funnily enough I do not have any of the dolls you roasted. I think that says that you are not the only one who doesn't like those dolls. Just to say though Mattel made these dolls, not MGA.

There’s a version of Ginger where the huge collar piece is same color as her blue bracelet, personally I think it looks more balanced and solidifies the doll

I agree with you design wise for Dexter's style wise, but shipping wise... I'm burning bridges.

Also hate the era when they start making lame design in there later years, when the dolls start smiling and clothes gone boring.

I agree with almost everything you said. Dexter is the reason I never bought the Date Night pack and I just bought Picnic Raven to complete the set but it's always felt sooo out of character to me. I would have been thrilled with a Picnic Ashlynn instead since she spent a lot of time in the forest with Hunter (and because Ashlynn is my fave lol) I was always "meh" about Ginger because of the colors. I still don't own a Farrah doll because every time I go to buy her it's just the face 😬 I do love her whole outfit though, even the strange wings haha. All the Meeshell dolls missed the mark for me and only one I disagree with you on is Blondie. I can totally see why it's bothersome but I loooved the different colored hair on all the Birthday Ball dolls (other than Rosabella because the yellow looks awful on her imo)
I'd like to add one - Epic Winter Ashlynn. I saw the commercial for the animated special before I saw the dolls and I was expecting Ashlynn to have a beautiful crystal crown. But we got a hideous chunk of plastic instead. I'd have to say it was one of the biggest let downs in the doll line for me since Ashlynn is my favorite character and doll. I'm looking for items to create a crown similar to the one on the special. Good job on the video, it was fun! :)

i totally agree with you with birthday ball blondie locks. she is the least beautiful doll out of the line.
