TikTok is garbage and I don’t like it, but this 100% isn’t about “privacy concerns”. TikTok gets a ton of usage, and probably reaps in a ton of user data, literally every online service does, we all know that. The U.S. government is all cranky about it and throwing a tantrum because they aren’t getting any of it, so they’re telling the Chinese company to sell it to them not for privacy sake, but so they can get the data and sell it. If privacy was an issue, they’d get on other companies like FB and Google and crackdown on them. It’s all money and greed.
