Kevin Durant's Final Chapter Is Inevitable…

Kevin Durant might be getting traded this summer after the Phoenix Suns big 3 was absolute disaster, and I think that KD might be returning to the OKC Thunder, although rumours about Kevin Durant being traded to the Houston Rockets are gaining traction.

KD winning a championship in okc would go so hard

Are you kidding? Warriors fans love KD. They don't love him like they love Steph, but they don't love *anyone* like they love Steph. Everyone knows he's going to get his jersey retired there (confirmed years ago, no new players are allowed his number since he left).

KD got every trade he asked for, forced his way out of the nets immediately after signing a huge contract with them just to go to suns, he gets what he deserves, can play for them until he retires and I hope they're ass every year.

Would KD like to be a Thunder again? Maybe. Does anyone think Presti would give up much to get him? Nope. This fantasy makes for fun conversation but dude is too expensive for most teams to want any part of trading for him. These days 35 ain't too old to play high level NBA ball but KD is owed $55 million two years from now when he will be 37. OKC ain't trying to pay him all that

KD never had any shred of loyalty towards OKC and especially to the ownership group and Sam Presti. He's far more attached to Seattle - the place he made his NBA debut. If there's a place where KD would like to bookend his career - a reborn Seattle SuperSonics (if the NBA ever decides to right the wrong) in the next few years would be his dream choice. Even if that means he won't be in a contention for a championship, IMO he would have no problem sacrificing his last opportunity to finish his career where it started - wearing a green uniform with SONICS wordmark on it.

As a Warriors fan who lives right outside the bay area, KD was never not respected by the fans. It was the media that didn't give him credit. KD wasn't seeing the appreciation posts by random people on Twitter but he saw all the bad takes and negative headlines from actual media platforms and personalities.

Love this channel more than any for basketball news. Delighted the Ball brothers haven't been a topic this year 😅

On the deadline when they brought Durant in, I was hoping the headline would read Ayton, Crowder, and picks. But of course it was Bridges, Johnson, Crowder, and the picks. Ishbia was over eager to make a drastic move and was blinded by Ayton being a first overall pick. It was such a stupid decision to opt to keep him over the 2 clearly better wings. But it is what it is. I think KD gets moved this off season, the Suns land a bunch of picks to restore that issue and the players they bring on combined with Booker and Beal will be competitive enough to make the playoffs. If they make the playoffs, anything can happen. I just want competitive basketball.

Honestly…. As a thunder fan I’d much rather have someone like Al horford, or decent sized center/pf that can shoot. We struggled on the boards in the playoffs and getting kd wouldn’t fix that, plus it just doesn’t make sense logically to have kd, and sga on the same team.

KD’s only “good” moves left are:
Stay
OKC
Timely Seattle expansion team

Anything else will almost certainly detract from his legacy. These are the only 3 situations where anybody would ever be convinced he might actually be happy.

As a okc fan and kd being my favorite player it would be amazing to see

OKC didn’t decide to give up & rebuild. The players requested exits. PG demanded a trade & so did Russ.

KD to the Magic or Wolves would be the best bet for both teams. Wolves trading KAT or Magic trading some of their guards.

Tbh this is well deserved Criticism but i wouldnt write off the Suns after 1 season :/ like lets be fr they started the season dealing with injuries & chose to start winning late in the season which got them a 6th seed spot in a rough Western conference against a Great TimberWolves team who beat the defending champs nd made it to the conf finals . All im saying suns just need a True PG a Solid Rebounding BIG nd some depth on the bench nd they easily a top 3 seed in the west ! Look at all the past champs they didnt get to be champions off the rip in 1 year smh ! Lets see how this team develops in a year or 2 💯
