CBN Directs Bank To Impose Cybersecurity Levy On Electronic Transfers

Central Bank of Nigeria has directed Banks in Nigeria to start charging a 0.5 percent cybersecurity levy on electronic transfers in two weeks.
This announcement was made in a circular signed by the director of payments system management, Mr. ChibuzorEfobi, and the director of financial policy and regulation, Mr. Haruna Mustafa to all commercial, merchant, non-interest, and payment service banks, mobile money operators, and other financial institutions
