Great top 5 video, other than the stick the Corkscrew has always been my favorite.

I still like my rod holder better.
I made my own by band clamping the mount for a cheap knockoff of a Fish On rod holder (I had one laying around but you can get them from Walmart for well under $20) to a section of Aluminum Angle (I used a 36” piece but you can make it whatever length suits you).
Now I can insert the holder into the mount at whatever angle I choose.
It’s a perfect rid holder whether I’m floating hearing for salmon in the salt, Fishing the Skagit river, or trout at my local lakes.

I myself use a telescopic hotdog fork roaster. Multi use for when fishing is done, dogs are roasted and lunch is served. Tight lines everyone!

My concern with the cheaper ones is when you're using them for bigger/plunking rods. Would all of those really work for plunking?

i made my own out of rebar and pvc pipe with some duck tape. 30 years ago they cost me about 3 dollars each. i still have them and there is no fish going to take off with your pole.
