A joke I once read you might like:

Man falls into a dark pit and tries to climb out, but fails miserably.
The next day a preacher walked by the pit and the man in the pit asked the preacher to save him.
"Sure!" said the preacher, writes something down on a piece of paper, and drops it down the pit.
