K Line (blue) has Lollar Dirty Blondes,
Eric Johnson Signature (black) has stock pickups, other strat has cs 69s

They all sound fantastic in their own way, but those Lollars are sick! Wow!

Lollars sounds absolutely stellar! And so does the playing! 🤩

I love the Lollar Dirty Blonde's - I have em in my Suhr. Really showcased the clarity of the pickups. I liked in order: Lollar 1st then close behind Eric Johnson 2nd and the Fenders last. . . but they all are very Stratty. Gorgeous chord-work. Enjoyed it.

CS69 was the best. Beautiful clean sounds. The overdrive solos were better pronounced with the CS69. The Lollar sounded a little muddy in the low end frequency.

Came here for demo, stayed for killer improvisations. I'm on my 3rd replay now.

I definitely think the dirty blondes sounded the best. Thanks for the help figuring out what to replace my G&L Legacy Tribute's pickups with :)

The Lollar’s have a “creamier” tone to me and would be my choice. Plus, I’m a sucker for a rosewood fretboard.

Great playing! Do you know offhand what heights the lollar dirty blondes were set at? I just bought a set and am tinkering with the heights currently.

Extreme delay kinda blurs any differences we might hear, don't ya think?

Do the patches mean there`s a kind of an effect on the guitars or these are straight of the amp tone samples? The EJ strat rarely sounds like this in other videos... unless EJ plays it ;)

I have a 1970 4-bolt necked Stratocaster. My pickups sound very similar to both the Lollars and the CS'69 pickups. I appreciate the money I saved after hearing this demo. My other Strat is a1990 Strat Ultra with Lace Sensors in a HSS format. Both Strats are keepers.

What do you use as a speaker/monitor for the Stomp?

Johnathan, which pickups did you like best? It's often a matter of feel as well as sound, and it's also tough to tell via Youtube audio.

Are The Lollar Dirty Blondes staggered or flat pole?

Just put Lollar dirty blondes in my highway one strat. Really nice clear and full tones that are nicely balanced across the three pickups. I actually use the bridge now!

That bleached natural light strat with the CS 69s is so cool looking. What finish is that?

Hi John!
I've got the same style EJ Strat as yours, t's my No.1 guitar.. just love it!
A friend lent me a Nash strat he's not using (?!?!) and I absolutely love the sound of that guitar and those Lollar Dirty Blondes.
Do you think the Lollars would sound good on the EJ strat? I was thinking of trying that
