I love Encanto with my whole heart so you know I had make a fansong about it It all started with the first fanart in the video I saw it on twitter and knew I wanted to play with the idea of it a bit more. I'm really proud with how this came out. I used the idea of having a song right after Mirabel's gift ceremony and how nervous and scared everything is about it. (Mirabel for not having a gift, Abuela for the fear of loosing the magic and the rest of the family for having to deal with being perfect for approval)
The main parts though are Abuela and young Mirabel to show the current head of the family and the future head show their emotions.

Labeling a child as gifted can be toxic because the gifted children may have to raise up to impossible heights that they never asked for, and the non gifted children feel like their worthless as a result compared to the gifted ones.

“Afraid of change but won’t stop changing” is honestly such a powerful name. Every time a child comes of age they get a new ability, they’re changing, given more responsibility and expectations. Yet their afraid when someone doesn’t change. They aren’t use to that type of change. That concept is genuinely so cool yet add to the song so much ndjwjwhdb

This really sounds like something Abuela has drilled into her whole family, they have to be strong for the town- like in the movie, Abuela constantly telling the townspeople that everything is fine because 'We are the Madrigals!''

I’ll be honest, I cried. I have so much empathy for all of those characters, especially Mirabel, I see myself in her, a lot. The feeling of never being good enough. That just makes me wanna give her a hug, give one to all of them.
