DIY Chasebar

I got tired of replacing and damaging the tail lights on my Jeep XJ. I looked into chasebars on the weba and found that most bars with the functionality that I wanted were north of $85. I found a few flexible strips that I could use, but once again I didn't like the functionality . All I wanted was reverse and brake lights. So when I couldn't find what I wanted. I decided to go DIY and make my own.

I was about $25 all in at the time this video was shot.

Here are the lights I used in this video.

Awesome! I'm foreshadowing the tail light issue. I might just pull them out now and make something. Props for making your own stuff; it's funny that the only thing you didn't make yourself was defective 😆

I have to say it's amusing you are doing all this work to save $85 while the paint dries on your ~$2000 doubler. Why didn't you go with some steel tail light boxes with recessed trailer lights? Looks good for a trail rig. That poor jeep is turning into a buggy one bit at a time, huh?
