I'm Brazilian and I love Southern Rock. Being a long time Skynyrd fan, I found out Whiskey Myers 3 years ago. My gosh, this band is awesome. Another great band (less known) is HOGJAW.

So tired of the rhinestone - trashville country pop!  Hey, I'm an 80's hard rock-metal fan by heart and by trade.  But always loved southern rock Skynard, Hachett, Allman's.  But this W.M. band has just blown me away.  Even a sad song like "broken window", somehow just puts a smile on my face.  These guyz are on rotation in my playlist daily.  Hoping they make it to Southern Cali one day soon..!!

Dancing on the creek bank
Blue eyes and auburn hair
It was the best years of our lives
We didn't have a care
Going 90 miles an hour
A truck and an old dirt road
Two young ass kids
Back where the dogwood flowers grow
Then graduation came
You was big city bound
I was going nowhere fast
So I just hung around
By the next time I seen you
Your love had grown cold
So I guess you broke my heart
Back where the dogwood flowers grow
White on the bloom
That April moon
It could have been forever darlin' had we stayed together
But you had to go
Time don't slow
It took further from your home
Back where the dogwood flowers grow
So I took to drinking
I guess you wouldn't recognize me
My souls torn and twisted
Like an old dogwood tree
We used to talk about forever
That was a million miles ago
So I'll see it if I see
Back where the dogwood flowers grow
White on the bloom
That April moon
You ain't dead set on leavin
When you miss the one you need
Just getting real
Hell remember when
You had that hand to hold
Back where the dogwood flowers grow

I found them in a goodwill resale store a number of years ago. lol Been a fan ever since. Even though I don't live far from Palestine I rarely go that way. It's good to see a local band do so well. Keep the southern rock commin guy's. I like it!

Great band been listening for quite some time and finally get to see them this December with Blackberry Smoke. Love the nod to the elder statesmen of Alt Country DBT

Cody, you and guys keep writing 'story songs' that's what country is all about. Somewhat again the traditional country music fans, I love your country/rock mix. Thanks for your music. And stories.
