This whole revue is pretty much them being like, "how many different ways can I say that I love you and we will be together forever"

This whole revue is just a really elaborate wedding. I mean, look at the amount of rose petals, the white aisle, the tux and white dress, the compliment when one walks down the aisle and meets the other ("Right now, you are the cutest you have ever been" / "Saijo Claudine, you are beautiful"), and of course the unique vows ("For me, there is you!" - but frankly the lyrics of this entire song can be counted as their vows). No marriage officiant was present but there was a huge cross to bear witness, can't get any more sacred than that. Maya, being the big softie she is, would request the photographer to take a beautiful portrait of her wife surrounded by roses to hang on the wall later. And then they sealed it with a (sinfully lewd) hand-holding and promised to spend forever together.

Nobody can convince me otherwise! If any of you needs more convincing, remember Maya literally signed the contract with her blood and gave her SOUL to Claudine (The letter T represents position Zero but it might well be Maya's last name - Tendo as a signature). It is, like, a marriage certificate already!

So when maya sings “my feelings becoming dyed in black(kuro)”, she is saying kuro(claudine) colored her heart

This is like the most Team Rocket love confession ever and it makes me cry-laugh every time. Revue Starlight is such a treasure.

In the play, Claudine is playing as a devil who seeks the stageboy(Maya)'s soul in exchange for showing the stageboy the "greatest brilliance in the world". Maya's declaration that "For me, there is the devil" is referring to Claudine, who is acting as the devil. However, Maya is hiding her true feelings by acting a part, which is why she refers to Claudine by her stage role, not as a person.

Once Claudine and Maya have their huge big fight at the end, they restate the line, removing the metaphor (and the stage pretense): "For me, there is you." Previously, Maya was speaking of Claudine as a character in the play, but now, she is being vulnerable with Claudine, addressing her as a person to another person.

After that line, Claudine cuts through the stageboy's contract. As the contract states, "When I show you that brilliance, I will receive your soul." Claudine takes Maya's soul by cutting her star off and winning the battle. And we understand what that "brilliance" is with Maya's pov, which shows Claudine framed by the frame of the contract, and Maya's words: "Saijo Claudine. You are beautiful." Of course, the brilliance was Claudine.

(Sorry if any of this interpretation is incorrect, it's been a year since I watched the anime. Was just rewatching this scene from the movie and wanted to drop my kuromaya brainrot🙏🙏)
