Wave XLR with a Dual PC Streaming Setup Guide

Setting up audio for a 2 pc stream setup is tough, so this guide will show you exactly how I've organised everything to make the most of the Wave XLR and Wave DX XLR Microphone from Elgato (products provided by Elgato)

This is a great video, thanks for sharing. Im about to get a 2nd pc for streaming, and was thinking of using the streamdeck+ but if i use this for audio settings on my gaming PC to pass through to streaming PC, I would have to buy another streamdeck? Seems that i would only be using half the SD+ capabilities in the above set-up...worth just buying 2 separate pieces of kit..audio for gaming and streamdeck for streaming PC?

Avoided 3.5mm cables and ground loop isolators with Beacn Studio. Still use Elgato products for all of the main audio on stream pc. Beacn Studio doesn't send raw audio due to built in noise gate/suppressor. As long as you aren't using it for singing/asmr, Beacn Studio is the way. Love Elgato, won't convert to Beacn, but supplemented the want to use the mic on both computers and kept all of the audio management on stream pc. Treating game pc just like any other console, etc. W!

Nice video but the issue I have with the way this is setup is your wave link in on the game pc.... meaning you'll have to alt tab to adjust volumes if needed which kinda defeats the purpose of a dual pc. Couldn't you just have the wave link on the stream then check listen to this device on the waves 3rd output MicrophoneFX and select the line out then put it into the Line in on the game pc would that work? I'm not sure I want to ditch my goxlr for the wave xlr if this is the only way to achieve voice chat in game.

Awesome video! However even with a ground loop isolator, I'm still hearing noise coming through on my mic going to my streaming pc, is there a way to fix this?

what if i wanted it to be on my stream pc to eliminate thing things on my game pc, kinda the point of having two right?

question: i use the wave link method that you show to put my gaming and other sounds from my gaming pc to the stream but as i saw on your video, everything that’s separated on the gaming pc is combined on the stream pc so i am not able to send just game, music, etc. sounds individually to my stream. therefore on obs on my stream pc everything is under one single audio channel and i can’t do much like play music without twitch dmca. is there a way to send individual inputs from wave link to the stream pc?

So are you recording on your main pc, hence having obs open with all the audio inputs on different mix lines and then it being outputed to your streaming pc with the line out stream mix? Also why not use the listen to stream mix over your hdmi going to the stram pc to eliminate an aux or does that cause more interference?

Do you save your audio recordings on your gaming PC? I can't figure out how to seperate the tracks on my Streaming PC. It only sends one audio channel from the gaming PC.

Currently I have my mic/headphones/wave xlr through my streaming pc. I just want to be able to use the same mic on the gaming pc. Can I just connect the aux cable between the two or is it more complicated than that?

Are you using a Game Capture OR using a NDI/Teleport while sending your game play from Game PC to Stream PC? (thats what I use). Will this all still work in my case?
