i always love how tekken recreates pretty accurately a lot of martial arts. im an ITF taekwondo student and while hwoarang is not my main (kazuya all the way), i love how taekwondo is recreated in game, using both kicks and hand techniques as the traditional art is (olympic tkd is WT and focus only on kicks, which gave a mistaken impression about the martial art, so a lot of people think is only about kicks, while you have them, but also have hand techniques, elbows, knees, grabs, submissions, personal defense, etc.)

by the way, taekwondo has its roots in karate but with different principles.

I had some experience with Motion Capture for video games and gotta admit even though Namco has always created a seriously fluid and accurate movement animations and overall choreography for Tekkens in the past, (I think they were using MoCap before it was industry standard) They outdid themselves this time. Ps. You almost saw me as Leon in these new Resident Evil games :)

Ever since I started playing tekken 4 hwoarang was my favorite character and I day after day I would try and recreate his moves. I’m now 18 years old and still trying to recreate his toughest moves like hunting hawk and sky rocket.
