Team band saw. Only use a sawz all if I can't use a bandsaw.

I’m surprised an expert like yourself went so long with minimal use of a band saw. Every company t I worked for used band saws for everything, sawzalls were only for restricted space situations

M18 fuel band saw and the m12 sawzall is a great combo to have, while cutting pipe or anything elae on a ladder the m12 sawzall is nice to use in tighter spots or/and working over head. I dont use it ofter but when i do im glade i have it

You're an electrician man. The band saw is our tool. Now there are good and bad times a sawzall needs to come out. It's just more rare than the everyday use of the band.

I have both but my go to is a metal cutting circular saw its a bit loud but so quick through strut and pipe

Sawzall is good for demo and more rough applications, bandsaw for clean cuts and pipe work

I loved my mini band saw.
Used the big guy band saw for 2" conduit

Sawzall is way more diverse so get one first when buying tools. Bandsaw very efficient for pipe etc.

I using M12 for many years. Fuel M12 is grate, let me cut throw 2" conduit. And battery live on band saw is much longer than on Sawzall. I have corded band saw for bigger sizes. Sawzall bs more compact and grate for cutting throw drywall.

A band saw goes through metallic liquid tight conduit pretty well too. My sawzall makes a mess of it. But my oscillating multi tool probably does it the easiest.

It depends how tight of an area you're in. You may not be able to get the band saw in a lot of areas.

Hackzall in the air, bandsaw on the ground. If you have a little pipe to run, Hackzall with a good Diablo bimetal blade would be a good choice, but if you’re running a shit ton of pipe, I’d use the bandsaw. The real kicker is which one will your company replace the blades on…

Yup both have their uses, if you have no room to use a bandsaw sawzall will work. Or if it's something thats too thick.

Running 4" and 5" PVC underground a Sawzall is a must

We use a sawzall because the portaband takes up too much space ( the guy i work with is annoying and doesn’t want to use different tools that might be better).

I have a couple of band sauce, one of which is even codless. But recently I put a metal cutting blade on a cordless skilllsaw. You wanna talk about life-changing experiences. It's actually surreal, cutting through unistrut like it's butter.
