Sedge Valley - Every Hole 4k

Sedge Valley is the latest addition to an already elite lineup of golf at Sand Valley Resort in Nekoosa, Wisconsin. Tom Doak (Lido, Pacific Dunes, Ballyneal, Old Macdonald...) was the lead architect for this project, which opened July 1st, 2024, and plowed against the status quo, making this a par-68 routing. Nearly unheard of, and I'm here for it. It doesn't, for a single shot, feel like a 'shorter' course. Because it isn't. It provides a fantastic and memorable variety of golf. A long par-5, back-to-back par 3s on holes 7 and 8, drive-able par 4s, and an incredible fun risk-reward finishing 18th.

The more folks you talk to around Sand Valley and within the golf world, the more you'll hear statements like, "Sedge Valley might be the best course on the resort". I am not one to say, but I will say that it is a very enjoyable walk through what feels like a South-African safari meadow, and is a whole lot of fun to play. You will walk away wanting to play it over and over again. Make sure it is on your itinerary for your visit to Sand Valley. You'll be glad you did.
