Launched in Arcangelo's 10th Anniversary Season, the Arcangelo New Ensemblists scheme provides an innovative and wide-ranging programme of experience, training and development to outstanding young instrumentalists specialised in ensemble period performance.
The second cohort of Arcangelo New Ensemblists, elected for 2022-24, comprises Cristina Prats-Costa (Violin), Yaoré Talibart (Violin) and Madeleine Bouissou (Cello).
In this second video diary documenting the second cohort, Cristina, Yaoré and Madeleine are shown taking part in the third sessions of their programme's 'Academy' strand, working intensively on the specialist areas of vocal accompaniment, ornamentation, improvisation and continuo with mentors Carolyn Sampson, Colin Scobie, David Watkin, and Arcangelo's Artistic Director Jonathan Cohen.
