As we kick of the first of many live shows at Candelabrum Metal Fest. WITHERFALL are happy to unveil the music video for our version of Kings and Queens originally written and recorded by Aerosmith off their 1977 album Draw the Line. We really wanted to capture the songs subject matter on this video. Given today's charged political climate and the discontent on all sides with our civil servants,The world is surely having another Marie Antoinette moment...

"Let Them Eat Cake" Kings and Queens and Guillotines indeed.

Witherfall was formed in Los Angeles in 2013. Joseph Michael (also of Sanctuary fame) and Jake Dreyer (ex-Iced Earth/Demons & Wizards) built their new band around drummer Adam Sagan (RIP) and accomplished bassist Anthony Crawford (Allan Holdsworth, CHON). Since then, the group have released three highly regarded albums: Nocturnes and Requiems (2017), A Prelude to Sorrow (2018), and Curse of Autumn (2021) and an ep Vintage (2019). Not one to cut corners, Witherfall enlisted famed drummer Marco Minnemann (The Aristocrats, Steven Wilson) on Curse of Autumn, ensuring the foundations of singles “As I Lie Awake,” “The Other Side of Fear,” and “The River” were second to none. On the new album Minnemann returns to the fold with an album-only appearance, while drummer Chris Tsaganeas (Wax Owls) and multi-instrumentalist Gerry Hirschfeld (Willie Nelson) Witherfall’s newest permanent members...

OK, I just got my neck out of a brace from listening to the last couple songs you guys put out now you’re gonna do this again. I guess I’ll have to put the brace back on.

Bass is hitting like a damn beast!!!

Excellent cover! I saw the Nights In the Ruts tour with AC/DC warming up on their Highway to Hell tour and they blew Aerosmith off the stage in Salt Lake City. But I also think Aerosmith's last good album was Done With Mirrors. I'd love to hear you cover My Fist Your Face, I'd wager you'd do a killer version! 59 and just got a new subscriber! Cheers from Utah.

A cover should never be about being better than the original. The objective of a cover is to bring a new reading that respects the legacy and brings the identity of those who perform it. And you did it masterfully!!!

Wow.

I actually like this better than the original. Not that it wasn't already good when Aerosmith played it, but to make the song sound heavier? Mission accomplished.

Also, love the nice tempo change as Jake's guitar solo begins.

Well done, you guys! 🤘🎸

Lifelong Aerosmith fan here... great and respectful cover of K&Q... but I prefer Brad Whitford's original solo ... more melodic... fits the song better.
