Rabbits are taking over Cannon Beach and causing a divide. Some Cannon Beach homeowners say what was once a cute attraction is now an infestation.

The city said it is currently taking input from the public and will decide if there is any appropriate action it can take. The city, though, said folks seem to be split down the middle when it comes to the rabbit issue.

Toddlers put everything in their mouth. If it wasn't rabbit turds it probably would've been duck poop cause Sandy wasn't watching her grandbaby 😂

I'm sure the rabbits think of it as a "human" infestation.

My father taught me about 'Smart Pills' (Rabbit pellet poop) when we had rabbits when I was a kid.

The reason why this is happening is because people are dumping their unwanted pet bunnies 🐰 here! This is the fault of humans!

Cool. Better than cougars and miscreants.

just bring hunters in. obviously guns are dangerous in the city but just bring people with pellet guns, or better yet, falconers. falconers would have a filed day. rabbit stew for dinner

There's a lot of ignorant comments here. Having a high rabbit population here will bring coyotes, cougars and predatory bird population up. These rabbits aren't native rabbits that hide in the brush, these rabbits dig burrows and live don't have any qualms about destroying house foundations or anything else that needs a solid structure.
