At age 66 I've found that it's better to purchase quality pieces instead of sub par items just because they're cheaper. It'll benefit you in the long run, and that's good advice about getting timeless classics, you don't have to change items as frequently because you stay relevant longer as you said. Preach my brother.

Love your video as a older newlywed couple your videos has really helped me get my husband out of all the active wear and sneakers. He now loves chinos we get his suits and clothes tailored I got him to stop wearing his shirts to big. Even his casual wear is on point now and he looks good and feels good. Thanks I show him your outfit ideas and he loves them. Now he is known for how well he dress also.

*Fit and tailoring:*
As an alternative to tailoring all of my clothing, I spent some time and found a few brands that fit perfectly off the rack. It may limit my selection, but I avoid the tailor tax each time I buy one of those brands.

*Accessories:*
Certain accessories work well for older men: watches, eyeglasses, and rings (especially a wedding band). Others work well in the appropriate weather: sunglasses, hats, gloves, and scarves.

I wouldn't always recommend a statement watch. If I'm already wearing a different statement piece, I'll wear a more subtle watch. When I'm not wearing another statement piece, a watch becomes a good statement piece option.

All excellent points. As a 63 year old man, I try to dress age appropriately but stylishly. I wish more older men would watch your videos.

Many of these men style YouTube channels ignore the 50plus and 60 beyond men styles. This was refreshing.

My problem is, I'm a late 40's hefty dude that lives in the heat of Florida! t-shirt and a nice pair of shorts...I've gone with the white sneakers, but its hard to layer clothes when the devil is on your back!

Great advice on dressing well.
Never looks out of place as we get older. At 63 trying to stay relevant in the workplace is important. Dressing well adds an element of maturity and experience. Dressing 25 years younger looks out of place.
Big fan of your videos and your demographics.

At 65, I love my blazers and sport coats. I also love my casual vests with my OCBDs.

Thanks for all the great videos! It’s been a very slow process for me in terms of what clothes I should buy and what looks appropriate. I’ve made so many mistakes and have wasted so much money only to end up donating most of what I purchased. I’m making way better decisions now. I’ve learned that as great as certain styles may be, they’re not suited for everyone, including myself. I now stick to what works for me. I’ve also gotten use to the minimalist approach in everything I wear. I’m finally in a good place. 🙏🏼

Simple and very true advice. At 57 I dress smarter, trousers, shirts and polo’s, never feel over dressed. 👍🏻 Keep up the good work 😊

Great tips, as always. I have found that as I have gotten older, it's easier for me to throw on sport coats or blazers for work. The complements I receive from coworkers always revolve around how well put together I always look without trying too hard. And, as a previous commenter noted, it keeps you looking relevant and "still in the Game!" Salute!

Great tips OG! Thanks for the video. I'm gonna have to watch it again and actually jot down some notes. I really like the idea of defaulting to "dressing up" more as I get older.
