They should have just added a Gain handle to the region. Would have made it so much easier to clip gain on the fly

This is great, I do a ton clip gain line editing in Pro-tools, and have always missed this feature inside logic. Hopefully this gets further improvement' where the line isn't tied to a region and can be drawn in to shape transients with realtime visual feedback.

Great video – very helpful because it's so clear and succinct. I have a related question. Is there a way to alter the gain of one channel at a time when recording in stereo? Either using the cool new method or some older one. (I'm a newbie, and desperate. In some places I need to cut out one channel from a podcast recorded with two mics.) Thank you!

It's almost there, but having to cut the clip still puts it behind PT and Logic for dynamic clip gain staging. And what happens if you re join the clips, does it lose all the levels? The key is to be able to gain stage within the overall clip, easily and quickly. So according to this, Logic STILL can't do that.

Logic makers simply don't use logic. I can't believe they didn't let you add points like drawing the gain just like EVERY daw.

When I adjust gain, my waveform preview doesn't change. Is there a setting to see the gain changes on waveform?

Can you cop automation data to the gain?

For example: Could I write volume automation using the fader, & then cut/paste that to the “gain” so I can affect the audio level pre-insert?

i was expecting region automations/gain drawing as in reaper, this is pretty much the same as the old menu
