How to replace floats/pins, needle valves, and seats in small engine carburetors, I used a Walbro LMT with the plastic float as a example and showed the older metal float on a one piece flow jet (all Briggs and Stratton Carburetors, similar on any make/model). Thanks for Watching!!!

After wrestling with my float assembly for a while I saw your video and I did not seat the small red washer the needle valve point rests in. After watching you seat the red washer then I seated mine, my assembly went together great. Thank you for a very helpful video!!!!

The seat goes in one way only!! There is a groove or ridge around the center of the seat, That groove or ridge goes towards the carb, not the needle. Hope this helps someone.

The wart on the carburetor bowl is used for the location of a drain plug. You usually won't see one mounted there, except on snow blowers and other cold weather equipment.

Likely the old one was swollen from years of being exposed to gasoline.

There are at least two different rubber seats, but I think he was right in his application.

Bottom line is that the fuel shuts off like it is supposed to do. No black smoke, no missing or dying at high RPMs.

My understanding is that the "ring" side goes in first. I don't know that it matters, but I believe that is the recommended orientation. I suppose as long as it seals correctly...

Is there a tool that you can use to see if the old seat is still good?

I've also blasted the old one out via the fuel inlet with compressed air. Learned that lesson the hard way. It'll likely hit you in the face if you don't point it in a safe direction.
