In the midst of the fear and disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic, some citizens may be about to receive a welcome surprise in the form of free money, also known as “helicopter money.” CNBC’s Silvia Amaro explains why central banks and politicians are considering this rare measure to keep economies moving.

Hong Kong does not have a history of handing out cash, they did it like one time before. It is Macau that pays its resident, they have done it for 13 straight years because they are rich.

In fact, this IS happening in Brazil right now. The government just gave people R$600, 00 per month for 3 months during this pandemic, not a loan. I just go my money!

Helicopter money is still better then bailing out large companies. Should allow the companies to go bankrupt so that longer term shareholders will care about keeping a healthy emergency cash fund.
