Really liked this video!! Sharing houses with lot of people is a pain. The housing rates that Prajakta mentioned are the cheapest options with room sharing (fights n issues included 😜). On-campus jobs are available, only few get it in 1st/2nd sem. And i so agree with her, mumbai is awesome!Everything closes down very early in USA. Delivery at home means a 5$-10$ fee plus tip😂
You are awesome Prajakta n mayank, this video will be helping many students!

WoW. This is really really good, learning the experiences of people who actually made it through everything. I wish I get to see someone's experience from MS Health Informatics too. Hands down the best YouTube channel for NEU aspirants.

Hey Prajakta as you said MS-IS is more towards technical side, what if i wanna get into management side or business Intelligence/analytics side more compared to technicals. After taking information systems what are the concentrations i can take under MS-IS at NEU ?

Canada provides better future to International students. I did my Masters in CS at the University of British Columbia and
I am a Canadian Citizen now. Canadian citizens can work in the USA on TN under NAFTA. I am working for a US company
in Vancouver and in San Francisco. Also, We have free medical in Canada. My friends who went to USA in the same year are
still on H1B and fighting for green card in the US. Also, More Canadian citizens on TN in the USA are getting green card than
H1B holders because green card issuance is unlimited for Canadian citizens.

I am an incoming grad for MIS and I did get RSO problem was that you are expected to be there on a certain date. My course starts on SEPT 7 and Aug 8 was my reporting for RSO but it was rescinded due to my VISA circumstances and flight.
So please make sure you check the date of reporting before applying for RSO. I lost 3 on campus opportunities due to similar reasons despite asking them to make an exception!
Moral of the Story: DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES AS ME!

Hi Mayank and Prajakta,
I have been admitted to NEU for masters program in IS for spring 2021. Actually i have a query related to course selection for first sem. The thing is i have worked as software developer in India for 2.5 yrs. But i wish to go for data track in my masters program. but i have also heard that for coop and fulltime jobs in data track they do ask for past work exp which i don’t have, and the opportunities would be less for me compared to the ones for full stack development which would be again hardcore coding which im not a fan of. Could you please help me through this.. as to which track should i go for..full stack development(it has more opportunities but then its hardcore coding also i have a past exp of 2.5 yrs in this)or data side(it has less opportunities, i dont have exp in this but my liking is more inclined here)
It will be of great help if you could just guide me here 😊

Hi. The video gave some really helpful insight. Thanks ! Even I am a software developer and want a more technically inclined course structure while still be able to explore the business side and make a track somewhere in the middle. Would appreciate your advice on whether MIS would suit the criteria ? Also what should I keep in mind while choosing a course at University which is more technically inclined ?

Great content. Thanks for the valuable information.
I've got an admit to the MSIS program at NEU Boston. And I'm from non-technical background. Please let me know if the syllabus could be overwhelming since MSIS at NEU is slightly more inclined towards the technical side. Or if this could be manageable.

I have been given the role of a Business Analyst in my present company. I am thinking of pursuing MS in CS but eventually venture into management after gaining enough experience. Will my Business Analyst post be considered when I search for a job after my masters in CS ? Or will I have to start from the role of a developer once again ?
