Hello everyone (*˘︶˘*).｡.:*♡ Here is a reading recommendations video featuring all of my favourite cozy, spooky, gothic books plus the books I'm planning on reading this spooky season~

There's some classics here; there's some fantasy here. Really this was just an excuse to talk about the books I love the most, and the books that are perfect to read on or around Halloween (or during autumn/fall if you're living in the Northern Hemisphere!)

Camera: Canon 600d with the kit lens or a 50mm f/1.4 lens.

same here! I'm in Argentina and when October comes I'm SO UTTERLY JEALOUS of those in the northern hemisphere!!! I love the cosiness, halloween and the countdown to Christmas and... all in autumn!!! I feel your pain, Christy.

Could you add the book titles/authors somewhere? I don't know how many non-English natives watch here, but sometimes it's just difficult to catch names when your first language isn't English and a list or names on screen would just be very helpful ❤️ But thank you for the suggestions, I'll definitely check a couple of them out 😆

I love Angela Carter and Mary Shelley and Oscar Wilde. Also, Dracula is one of my all time favourits.
To add to your spooky gothic Halloween list, I recommend Gaiman's short story Snow, Glass, Apples; the original Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux and the Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, especially the Musical adaptation by Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse.

I always enjoy your book videos! I would recommend, while not strictly in the gothic category, a short story collection that I think you would like called 'Blow-Up and Other Short Stories' by Julio Cortazar. You could start with 'Continuity of Parks' which is only about two pages or so but just stunning. 'The Night Face Up' is brilliantly creepy too.
