Taking Nursing Prerequisites Online

Pretty much every nursing school requires their ABSN program applicants to successfully complete a series of prerequisites before they begin professional nursing study. While some schools require as many as 15 ABSN prerequisites, we require four ― even better is that you can take these nursing prerequisites online through our university. That’s what current ABSN student Greg did.

Because the internet didn’t exist when Greg completed his undergraduate degree in biology during the late 1970s, he opted to take his nursing prerequisites online to become familiar with Canvas, which is the online learning platform we use in our ABSN program.

Our four prerequisite courses are:
· Human Anatomy or Anatomy and Physiology I
· Human Physiology or Anatomy and Physiology II
· Microbiology
· Statistics

These challenging science-based prerequisites not only set the stage for professional nursing study, they’re also key to your nursing career preparedness Generally speaking, if you’re able to ace your prerequisites, there’s a good chance you’ll be able to handle the rigors of our 16-month ABSN program. To enter the program, we require that you achieve an overall GPA of 2.7 in your ABSN prerequisite courses.

I need to register for the prerequisites nursing program online, how do i register?

1.How fast can you move through the online classes?.. are they at our own pace / & how many at once can be taken 2. Are all. Online or would I need lab anywhere in the schedule?.. bcuz some school require lab on certain basic courses.
