Umberto Tozzi is such a great singer/songwriter/composer & he managed to write an absolut classic, which is so much loved around the globe. & I think that Laura Branigan paid the biggest respect and honour to this song, when making it slightly more her own in the 80s & thus, elevating it to Disco-Heaven. Two amazingly great artists making this one an iconic tune for the ages. That's special !! <3

I listened to Branigans Gloria, driving thru Hurricane Gloria in September of 1985 ! They were playing it a lot on am radio. I listen to Tozzis version now, as this is his song.

Great song ! I remember this song when I was a little girl.🙂👍 Every italian wedding I went to had this song playing. I remember like it was yesterday. I also remember Tiamo by this singer every italian wedding too I'd hear the song Tiamo. Great song !!

For Us' friends, Gloria is an original song written and interpreted by Umberto Tozzi, it was the title track of an album issued in 1979. Gloria became so famous that have been sung in many languages in all Europe and in 1982 Laura Branigan made the version you all know
