A band doesn't have to be well known to be considered underrated. Although I wouldn't consider The Dear Hunter underrated because they are well received by those who do listen to them. But Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin are not underrated in any sense of the word. They are generic hard rock bands and only have a large following because of their accessibility.

God. Casey really is what's missing from TREOS. <3 They've been my favorite band for years, ever since Between the Heart and This Synapse first came out. And although I still loved The Earth Sings Mi Fa Mi, it just wasnt as good without Casey. And I've been so hung up on staying dedicated to TREOS that I never really gave The Dear Hunter a proper listen until now. Big mistake. This is wonderful. <3

I do, you clearly don't haha. an underrated band is a band that most people know but do not give them the recognition they deserve for example three days grace is an under rated band. or breaking Benjamin is an under rated band, but the dear hunter is not under rated because very few people have actually even heard their music
