Good stuff, my friend. This is the kind of thing every bedroom recording producer needs to know.

Curious? When you’re adjusting your faders during gain staging are you applying the same reduction on every track including doubles and bus’s?

When I try to follow this guide, even with the smallest amount of limiting, I have to keep most of my faders so low that there’s barely any room to lower to lower volume still in logic. Help?

Great tutorial, I was looking for just this topic. I record guitar with UAD preamp - DI. Tested again with chug guitar, now peak - 7.2 dB, RMS around - 14 to - 17 dB. Which value is most important Peak or RMS? Cheers from Stockholm.

Should I do this per track or on mixing bus or master bus?
