I saw Godspell in 1973. I sat there wide eyed in rapt attention as the songs spoke to my soul. I cried my eyes out at the end. I have loved it ever since i saw it and it still affects me the same way. Jesus loves me, and He loves you too dear listeners.

I love how when the apostles hear the call they IMMEDIATELY stop what they are doing and leave their former lives behind, with zero hesitation and total commitment. It is like they've heard the purest truth of their lives and it strikes them like lightning. There is something so powerful about that

When I first saw this movie as a know-it-all teenager, I dismissed the characters as juvenile. Later I realized this was the whole point, that faith was making them childlike in the best sense of the world--open to hope, joy and renewal.
