Full moon dinner 🌕 | Kanan Tulum

Показать описание
If you're looking for an amazing and unique experience, then look no further than the full moon nest dinner at Kanan Tulum. Once we arrived, our hostess took us up a treehouse-like structure to find our nest for the night with 360º views of the jungle. Our incredible server, Jonathan, shared the story of Kanan and it was amazing to find out that this sustainable property was built entirely by Mayan hands. Kanan means Mayan Hands in the Mayan language, and that’s exactly what makes this place so special. Jonathan also took incredible photos of us throughout the evening and knew the exact spots for the best views.
We started off the evening with some delicious salmon tartare and avocado croquettes, followed by grilled salmon and rack of lamb. The meal was absolutely incredible, but it was only the beginning of an unforgettable experience.
After dinner, we participated in a purification ceremony under the moonlight with Luis, one of Kanan’s Mayan staff members. He used copal to cleanse our energy and prepare us for the special show that was about to take place. He explained that copal is a resin that’s burned as an offering to the gods and it’s often used in ceremonies to cleanse oneself spiritually.
We watched a full moon ceremony led by modern-day Mayans, and it was truly something out of this world. The energy was palpable and I could feel the connection to the earth, sky, and the jungle around us.
It was an unforgettable experience and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and magical night in the jungle. If you’re thinking about booking this experience, it’s recommended that you make a reservation no later than 6pm, so that you can enjoy the sunset, moonlight, and watch this incredible place come to life.
